Accessibility & British Sign Language Support

Signing during services

At St Peter’s we seek to make our Sunday services as accessible to everyone as possible.

The main church building has step-free access to the main doors, and a ramp to the chancel area.  There is a disabled toilet through the door at the front right of the nave.

The Parish Centre has step-free access to both floors, and disabled toilets on both floors.  There is one designated disabled parking space to the front of the Parish Centre.

Visual Support

During most services, the majority of content (words for hymns, songs and prayers) are projected onto large screens. If you have difficulty seeing the screen, then large print paper copies of the words are available.

Also, large print Bibles, notice sheets, and copies of Venture (the digest of the church blog) are available. If you require any additional arrangements, please do feel free to let us know.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing

A hearing loop is in operation in the main body of the church during all public worship services. BSL support is also offered on 1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at the 9.30am service.

In addition to the regular monthly provision we also endeavour to offer a variety of other events throughout the year with BSL support or interpretation. If there is a particular event that you'd wish to attend, requiring this support, please do contact the Parish Office.
