Update 27 July 2021
COVID RESTRICTIONS EASING FOR SUNDAY SERVICES
The country is tentatively responding to the reduction in Covid-related restrictions, and so are we at St Peter's.
We are attempting to navigate more uncertainty, as some are desperate to return to church without any restrictions, and others remain cautious and apprehensive about what this means for their safety when they attend. We ask for your continued grace and patience, with us and one another, as we do our best to accommodate and welcome everyone on Sundays. We seek to respect those who are still feeling vulnerable and to ensure that all feel included in worship, whether they choose to continue social distancing or not.
Therefore, please note the following for all services:
Sunday 1 August onwards
We will continue to SING at all services on Sunday, and you have two options regarding seating:
- Pre-book online (as before) if you would like to sit in a designated socially distanced area (2m apart) and definitely wear a mask. You will be allocated a specific seat(s) for your household and this area will have restricted access only for those who wish to continue with these safety guidelines. A seating plan will be displayed for when you arrive and entrance is through the South Aisle or Kitchen Vestry doors only.
- Just turn up (no pre-booking required) You will enter through the main church door and be directed to choose your own seat. Rows will continue to be distanced (this will reduce gradually over the coming weeks) but seating is not restricted to households. You can sit next to whoever you chose and spare seats next to you may be occupied by any others attending. You are welcome to wear a mask, but if you choose not to, this is also fine.
The exception to this will be on the 8 Aug and 29 Aug at the 10.30am and 5pm services, which will all be OUTDOORS – no pre-booking required for any seating. Bring your own seat and position yourself wherever you prefer. You are welcome to wear a mask if you choose to.
SINGING at all Sunday services will be with or without a mask - this will be your choice.
11am Wednesday Communion Services from Wed 4 Aug
These services do not require pre-booking. You can choose whether or not you wear a mask and you will be free to choose to socially distance from others should you prefer to. This is a quiet service, with small numbers attending and no singing.
Any questions – please contact the church office.
